Combining other drugs or alcohol with Adderall only increases the risks.įind Hope & Recovery. Seizures, hypertension, racing heart rate, severe confusion, fever, and psychosis may be side effects of Adderall overdose, and these can result in heart attack, stroke, or death without swift medical treatment. The brain may be overwhelmed by the amount of Adderall suddenly in its system and may not be able to safely break down the drug. Instead, it sends the entire amount of the drug into the bloodstream at once. Are you worried about the effects it may have on your health? If so, then continue reading to understand what snorting Adderall will do to your body and what potential adverse side effects can happen (including withdrawal, overdose, addiction, and the need to treat addiction to Adderall).Īdderall capsules or tablets are sometimes crushed and then snorted for a faster “high.” Crushing and then snorting Adderall that has an extended-release format, like Adderall XR, bypasses the way the medication is supposed to be slowly released in set doses over a set period of time. Can You Snort Adderall?Īre you thinking about snorting Adderall? Or maybe you’ve been snorting Adderall. You increase the likelihood of experiencing adverse side effects of the medication since there is no controlled release of the medication. Therefore, an Adderall detox is essential to stop the damage caused by the drug before it becomes too late. Snorting Adderall produces a faster onset of the drug’s effects and is associated with increased potential for overdose. A common way that Adderall is abused is by snorting. Non-prescription Adderall use is so prevalent on college campuses that college students take dangerously high amounts of it to cram before an exam or stay up all night to write a paper.Īddiction to Adderall can cause dangerously rapid weight loss, seizures, hallucinations, and potentially-fatal heart problems. In recent years, mixing Adderall and alcohol has become an increasingly popular trend among college students. Many people without ADHD may abuse Adderall recreationally for its stimulant-associated effects of increased euphoria and energy, which also suppresses the side effects of alcohol and can lead to alcohol poisoning. Therefore, one should never assume a drug is somehow “safe” to use in any quantity or conditions simply because it’s prescribed. Adderall can be addictive, and Adderall side effects can be life-threatening in some cases. It is a stimulant that can cause euphoria when taken inappropriately. A person who has been abusing Adderall will experience withdrawal symptoms when he or she stops taking it. The combination of dextroamphetamine and amphetamine (Adderall, Adderall XR, Mydayis) is used as part of a treatment program to control symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy (sleep disorder). Tasha: I want to note that Gossamer is completely ineffectual on the court in Space Jam: A New Legacy. I think Gossamer has the tools to be a valuable player in any Looney Tunes basketball squad, on account of literally being an 8-foot-tall monster. Now, he hasn’t been the most effective player in previous Space Jam iterations, showing both a lack of mobility and a susceptibility to fire, but I blame the coaching. At an estimated 8-feet tall, Gossamer would tie for the title of tallest player in professional basketball history (with former Libyan pro Suleiman Ali Nashnush). We’re going even bigger, even redder (or orange-r, I guess): it’s Gossamer. Pete: On the height side, once again my fearless strategy pays off. But mainly he’s here to play lockdown defense and occasionally cause a stoppage of play when the ball … goes missing. (Metta Sandiford-Artest only wishes he had that level of commitment.) I’m also betting that, if he put his mind to it, he could do his little tornado thing to get enough verticality to actually get close to the hoop on occasion. The little rascal is such a committed defender that he is willing to go so far as to eat the ball rather than let his opponent score. What he lacks in height, he makes up for in grit. What I need right now is a tenacious defender, so I’m taking Tasmanian Devil. Pete: I will agree with you that Daffy Duck is selfish, unskilled, and a waste of space on a basketball court. And since we haven’t seen them on the court yet, you’ll have a harder time anticipating their weak spots. But this is Looney Tunes basketball, so we need tricks and complex contraptions even more than skill and size. Coyote pick by your team with a Road Runner pick of my own, so I may very well be undoing my own cause. Pete: Cards on the table: I was hoping to counter a potential Wile E. The Looney Tunes draft Round 1: Bugs Bunny vs. Once we’ve got teams drafted, we’ve asked our basketball-aficionado friends at SB Nation to make the call on who wins. Any Looney Tunes character is on the table. Curation editor Pete Volk and Film/streaming editor Tasha Robinson volunteered as tribute, and Pete won the coin flip, so he’s taking first pick at the draft. But what if both teams were made up of beloved characters? Who would win if the Looney Tunes Space Jammed themselves? We had to find out.įor the purpose of the conflict, though, we needed two team managers to draft up a couple of hopefully balanced Looney Tunes teams. “Who Would Win: Your Favorite Cartoon Characters Plus an International Sports Star, or Some Scrubs We Just Made Up for This Movie?” isn’t even that interesting a question. Learn to discipline children without yelling or shame.Check out the teaser trailer for The Little Mermaid, the upcoming live-action reimagining of the animated musical classic. When you show up as your imperfect self, you give your kids permission to do the same. We see lasting positive results when we respond with intention just 20% of the time. There will be many times that you just don’t have the time or mental bandwidth to respond this way. “When I’m ready to feel calm I can take some deep breaths.” What if I don’t have the bandwidth to respond like this? When kids understand that it’s safe for their caregivers to feel hard things and that they don’t have to be responsible for fixing or solving our problems, they can feel safe and secure even when they see us experience something hard. When that happens there are two things we want to emphasize:ġ) It’s normal and okay for us to feel hard things.Ģ) Our children do not have to fix our hard feelings. Sometimes kids aren’t sure what to do or how to react when they see a parent or caregiver expressing a hard emotion. Want to come?” When a child is uncomfortable with an adult’s emotion “I’m going to step outside to look at the sky to help my body calm. “I’m taking ten deep breaths, and now I feel ready to solve this problem.” “I am squeezing my fists and taking breaths to help my body.” This will look different depending on what helps you feel calm in the moment. Next, we get to model self-regulation for them. I feel so mad that I can feel my jaw clenching.” “ I'm feeling overwhelmed by all of the noise here. “I feel so frustrated that the dishwasher isn’t working! My chest feels tight and I want to yell!” What does it feel like in your body when you’re feeling sad, mad, or disappointed? Does your heart race? Does your chest get tight? Do you start to feel hot all over? Does your jaw clench? When this happens to us in the moment and we share it with our children, they learn that it’s normal to feel big things in their bodies and to tune into those signals rather than tuning them out or trying to make them stop. The first step to modeling self-regulation is modeling self-awareness. Before Self-Regulation Comes Self-Awareness How are kids supposed to know it’s okay to feel hard things when they never see us do it? How will they know that it’s okay to be angry or sad if we don’t let ourselves feel it in front of them? If we want them to know that their feelings are normal and they can build a toolbox for regulating, we have to show them. What if instead of trying not to express hard feelings around our kids, we viewed it as an opportunity to foster their emotional development? We can talk to kids all day about how to process their emotions, but if we’re not modeling it for them, our words will only take us so far. Hard Feelings Are an Opportunity to Teach Kids They pick up on our tone, our body language, and the other non-verbals signals we’re sending out all the time. Kids know when we are feeling something hard whether we tell them or not. The idea that we’ll never be triggered or feel hard things in their presence, that we'll just remain calm at all times is unrealistic and not how our bodies are designed. Here’s the thing, the goal is not that kids think we don’t have emotions. ![]() Do you ever feel like you can’t have hard feelings in front of your child? When you get frustrated or sad do you feel like you have to hold it all in so that you don’t upset them? In just eight days-and with the help of Outlaw Diesel in Miami-the Duramax/Allison combination was ditched in favor of a compound turbo’d, 12-valve Cummins backed by a built 47RH. Tyler spent his 2016 college Spring Break performing the Cummins swap. Perhaps the wildest part of the entire process was how quickly it all unfolded. Both turbocharger compressor housings, the factory intake elbow, and all intercooler tubes were painted a proprietary blue by Tyler’s friend, Sean Espinosa.Īnd so, the “Chummins,” as Tyler and his group of friends like to refer to it, was born. ![]() ![]() Its support bracket ties into the passenger side motor mount, which-along with all intercooler tubing-was fabricated by Felix Aleman of Outlaw Diesel in Miami. The first charger to grab a bite of air in Tyler’s compound arrangement is a T6 flanged S475 from BorgWarner. “I had the choice to either fix the issues with the Duramax or-for the same price-I could put a Cummins in the truck and make more power,” he told us. After the LB7’s second set of injectors began to go south and its 350,000-mile head gaskets appeared blown, Tyler got to thinking.
